Prime Minister Narendra Modi was all praise for the newly elected party president, Nitin Nabin, and in his typical humble style, he straight-up said that when it comes to party affairs, Nabin is the boss and he’s just a regular worker!
Modi was speaking right after Nabin took charge as the BJP’s national president – and at 45, he’s the youngest ever to hold that spot. The PM described him as a “millennial” leader, someone from a generation that’s seen massive changes in India, from the old days to today’s fast-paced world with all the tech and progress.

The event was packed with big names – Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, and outgoing chief JP Nadda all showed up to congratulate him. Nabin was elected contest after a long process of internal polls and nominations process; 37 sets came in his favor with no challengers. He started the day with prayers at Jhandewalan Temple and Hanuman Mandir, then headed to the headquarters for the swearing-in. Modi even shared sweets with him in a sweet symbolic signal.

Modi used the next moment to talk bigger picture too. He stressed that the next 25 years are critical for building developed India – Viksit Bharat – and Nabin’s role will be the key in keeping the party united, coordinating with the NDA allies, and pushing the grassroots agenda. It’s a very clear signal of generational shift: blending the old guard’s wisdom with new blood to keep the BJP dynamic.

Of course, the opposition couldn’t resist a jab – some Congress folks cracked jokes about “Bigg Boss” and hints at a “younger PM.” But inside the BJP camp, it’s all positive vibes, with leaders praising the move as promoting capable young talent while respecting experience.

This feels invigorating , doesn’t it? A top leader openly saying the party structure matters more than personal ego. Shows the BJP’s cadre-based culture is alive and kicking.
